The Kestrel Feather Antenna (KFA) is a 2 dBi gain, multi‐band near‐field antenna that lowers the noise floor of the Signal Hound™ SDR Receiver. This enhances the Probability of Detection (POD) within spectral ranges that are common to wireless communication standards.
The KFA exhibits excellent near‐field characteristics across nearly the entire Signal Hound TM SDR Receiver operational bandwidth.
The Kestrel Feather Antenna is a passive, high gain antenna. It lowers the Ambient Noise Floor (ANF) while exposing hidden and potentially hostile signals. This gives improved performance over a less sensitive broadband sectional whip antenna.
